Vanya blinked rapidly as she materialized on the very sunny, very hot, and very nice island of Hawaii. The rolled-up contract was still clutched in her hands and she smiled slightly to herself.

It was amusing how she was getting involved in silly human ceremonies.

And, she admitted, it was very nice of Joy and Kurt to have invited her. The sun was hot enough that she took off her long red coat, revealing a smart black,sleeveless dress underneath. Lately the daylight had been not just bearable, but enjoyable.

It was good, she mused, that she'd actually get to take part in her friends' special day.

She looked around for the other Kurt and his loudmouth wife (who seemed to have mellowed out lately, except for when the men of her house decided to talk about her underwear selections). They shouldn't have arrived too far from where she was.

Kurt looked at his wife with a chuckle, then turned to his alternate and nodded. "Ja. There aren't any rules against it. Meine license isn't from this reality, but ve've got a contract that vill be binding in any reality."

"Och," said Joy, ears going back. "I hadnae thoucht 'o t' realities. 'N I dinnae technically exist, either."

"It's fine," Sal said with a smile. "These contracts seem to do the trick."

"See? It's fine," Kurt beamed, then chuckled.

"I suppose ve vill haff to trust... me, zen," he said, nudging his counterpart.

"Oh, I think you can trust him," Vanya quipped.

Kurt just chuckled himself and leaned toward Sal, moving his chair a little closer to her as he did. "I promise that the vorst I'll do is ask Joy if she takes you for her frau."

Joy lowered her head and gave in to the snorting giggles at this.

Sal laughed as well. "Don' worry, if he does do anythin' worse ye has my permission to take 'im out back n' beat 'im."

She smirked at Kurt by way of letting him know that she wasn't being serious at all.

"Bah, couldn't hit my own face," Kurt smirked. "I vill leave zat to Vanya."

With a similar smirk (that still looked vaguely malicious), Vanya pulled the Casull from her boot and mimed cocking it, aiming the barrel at the preacher.

Then she laughed. "I'll keep everyone in line," she said.

Kurt started and nearly teleported away, but instead took a deep breath. "Please don't do that. I'm a little gun shy at the moment."

Joy looked up with concern at the unsteady note in his voice, her ears perked toward him.

Sal couldn't help but laugh. "I said beat, not shoot," she said, watching Vanya replace her gun.

Kurt's tail gently curled around the gun and pulled it away.

"Careful, such ideas are not to be so lightly passed about," he said, only slightly scolding.

She just shook her head and re-booted the gun, shaking her head at the silly humans and their paranoia.

"Fair enough," she said with a shrug. "I didn't mean it, alright?" she added, nodding deferentially to the preacher.
