Vanya blinked rapidly as she materialized on the very sunny, very hot, and very nice island of Hawaii. The rolled-up contract was still clutched in her hands and she smiled slightly to herself.

It was amusing how she was getting involved in silly human ceremonies.

And, she admitted, it was very nice of Joy and Kurt to have invited her. The sun was hot enough that she took off her long red coat, revealing a smart black,sleeveless dress underneath. Lately the daylight had been not just bearable, but enjoyable.

It was good, she mused, that she'd actually get to take part in her friends' special day.

She looked around for the other Kurt and his loudmouth wife (who seemed to have mellowed out lately, except for when the men of her house decided to talk about her underwear selections). They shouldn't have arrived too far from where she was.

Kurt smiled back, repeating his vows, then taking out the ring he'd gotten for her a long, long time ago, nervously holding it.

Kurt turned to Joy and started leading her through her vows, smiling as he saw traces of Logan in her. His friend would have loved to be here, though by now she'd be teared up and would have hit someone to cover for it.

Joy repeated the vows in a quiet, sure voice, her hand closed around a shell ring she'd made last night when she couldn't sleep.

Sal watched, trying very hard to pay attention, though her mind kept wandering to a certain December night in Las Vegas.

She remembered the feeling - it wasn't all that long ago, but still she remembered and she saw in their faces the same looks she knew she'd worn.

And she smiled inwardly.

Kurt watched Joy say her vows, then blushed when it was time to exchange the rings.

"I love you," he said softly, slipping the white-gold band over her delicate finger.

Joy was blushing herself as she fumbled the shell ring and nearly dropped it into the water. Then she finally got it onto his pointer finger and looked expectantly to the pastor.

He was grinning from ear to ear. "Seal it vith a kiss."

Sal smiled just as widely, stepping back so Vanya could snap one more picture.

Kurt grinned rather shyly, then leaned in, giving his new bride a gentle kiss, which was filled with love and joy.
