Vanya blinked rapidly as she materialized on the very sunny, very hot, and very nice island of Hawaii. The rolled-up contract was still clutched in her hands and she smiled slightly to herself.

It was amusing how she was getting involved in silly human ceremonies.

And, she admitted, it was very nice of Joy and Kurt to have invited her. The sun was hot enough that she took off her long red coat, revealing a smart black,sleeveless dress underneath. Lately the daylight had been not just bearable, but enjoyable.

It was good, she mused, that she'd actually get to take part in her friends' special day.

She looked around for the other Kurt and his loudmouth wife (who seemed to have mellowed out lately, except for when the men of her house decided to talk about her underwear selections). They shouldn't have arrived too far from where she was.

Kurt just laughed and gave Sal a quick kiss, then looked at Vanya. "Do you have the contract?"

Joy sighed too, her hand rubbing her husband's back gently beneath his jacket as she partially burrowed beneath it. It made a satisfactory substitute for wings.

"Wouldn't want to forget that like we almost did." Sal chuckled.

Kurt smiled, feeling utterly blissfull as he held his wife close, then looked.

"You thought of everyzing," he smiled. "Thank you, mien freunds."

Vanya snorted. "If there's something I'm not, it's irresponsible." She pulled out the rolled-up contract and handed it to Kurt, along with a pen. "Here you go, Padre."

Kurt took it and spread it open, holding it against the seabreeze. "Sign here, mein Fruiends."

Joy pulled one arm out of her husband's jacket to scrawl her name in looping, old fashioned script, then handed him the pen and put the arm back where it had been.

Kurt signed his own in neat, curteous letters, then looked at Joy, simply staring at her in euphoria.
