Vanya blinked rapidly as she materialized on the very sunny, very hot, and very nice island of Hawaii. The rolled-up contract was still clutched in her hands and she smiled slightly to herself.

It was amusing how she was getting involved in silly human ceremonies.

And, she admitted, it was very nice of Joy and Kurt to have invited her. The sun was hot enough that she took off her long red coat, revealing a smart black,sleeveless dress underneath. Lately the daylight had been not just bearable, but enjoyable.

It was good, she mused, that she'd actually get to take part in her friends' special day.

She looked around for the other Kurt and his loudmouth wife (who seemed to have mellowed out lately, except for when the men of her house decided to talk about her underwear selections). They shouldn't have arrived too far from where she was.

Kurt signed on his line, then pressed the dark spot on the corner of the document and handed the two small chips it became to the new couple. "Congratulations!"

Joy gave a slightly overwhelmed ear-smile, then looked up at her Kurt with shining eyes. "Now vhat?"

"Now you should go enjoy being married," Sal said with a smile.

"Now ve are togezzer. I am yours und you are mine. Ve can od vatever ve vant," he laughed, scooping her up into his arms and twirling her, then leaning over and giving Sal and Vanya a kiss on the cheek each, and the other Kurt a tail high-five. "Thank you, mien friends! Thank You, Gott! Und thank you, mien beautifu liebe," he cheered.

Vanya merely smirked, nodding her agreement.

"Praise God indeed," she said quietly as she stood ankle-deep in water with the sun shining down.

Joy laughed as she was twirled around, then hopped free and pecked the other Kurt on the cheek before looking at he and the other guests questioningly. She should play the hostess, but there wasn't that much in the house....

Kurt waved her away with a chuckle. "Nein, this is your time. Go und celebrate on your own."

Then he remembered Vanya and looked at her, wondering if he'd offended.

"Yes?" the vampire inquired, turning her gaze away from the ocean and back to the preacher. "Something wrong?"

"Ach, but ze afternoon is young... perhaps a picnic?" He offered, arms around his wife. He could be anywhere and not care, as logn as he was holding his Joy.
