Remieverse- in a hotelroom

Rage, brought on by a night of remourseful drinking, coursed through Logan's veins as he snarled, chucking the hotel room's last vase at the wall near his shadow, the woman was always following him, always there, always quiet.

"&*#$ you!" he thundered, approaching her, blood in his eyes. There wasn't even a glimmer of Remie in this woman, not a life-filled, joyus, loud Cajun bone in her body, and he was sick of it.

He raised his clawed fists, mind gonig blank but for the picture this woman couldn't fill, snarling as he finally cornered the only one to duck out during his temper tantrums and imediatly return.

She looked back at him with outward calm, though he could probably see the confusion in her eyes and smell her slight hurt. Inside, she was totally bewildered by his actions and felt like weeping, but she didn't have time for that now.

And her foot really, really, hurt....

"Y' need to stick up for yourself more," he rumbled, then frowned when he smelled the emotions and pain.

"Hey, you ok?" he asked, coming closer, hands up to keep her from running.

She sidled toward the door slightly, then saw that his eyes were clear and twinkling with approval and stopped for a moment before hesitantly limping to meet him.

He caught her gently, then frowned.

"Yer foot," he said, scooping her up gently and then taking her to the bedm, putting her down and then tenderly taking her injured limb, feeling it gently, face darkening.

She hissed through her teeth, face creasing with pain, then squeezed her eyes shut.

He stopped quickly, then shook his head.

"Ya broke it," he said, picking her up again, holding her securely. "C'mon, there's gotta be a hospital nearby. I'll get ya there n' looked after."

Noah leaned against him and hid her face against his shoulder, not caring about all the times she'd been rebuffed before. She wasn't trying to show affection now, she just wanted comfort.

He instinctively began to rumble softly in his chest the hand on her arm squeezing it gently as he went down the hotel elevator, then out of the hotel, looking up and down the streets before looking to a man who passed by.

"Hey, where's the hostpital?" he said, still holding his girl protectively.

"About five blocks that way." The lanky young guy pointed, his bony face creasing in concern. "What happened? Do you want me to call 911?"

"No, I got her," Logan rumbled, turning and walking away without another word, looking down at her. "Y' know, yer tough when ya feel like it. Just hang in there fer a little longer, I'll get ya patched."
