Remieverse- in a hotelroom

Rage, brought on by a night of remourseful drinking, coursed through Logan's veins as he snarled, chucking the hotel room's last vase at the wall near his shadow, the woman was always following him, always there, always quiet.

"&*#$ you!" he thundered, approaching her, blood in his eyes. There wasn't even a glimmer of Remie in this woman, not a life-filled, joyus, loud Cajun bone in her body, and he was sick of it.

He raised his clawed fists, mind gonig blank but for the picture this woman couldn't fill, snarling as he finally cornered the only one to duck out during his temper tantrums and imediatly return.

She blinked, then felt ashamed. "(You didn't tell him.)"

Her voice was now low even for his ears.

"(I tried. I did,)" he said, holding her closer for it. "(But I didn't have the marks your people expect. It doesn't matter much anyway, she's gone, married to another man. Probably for the best.)"

He paused as a doctor came in, and took another patient. Then he sighed.

"(Look, I can't just give you my heart. If I could, I would, but I don't even have it right now. But from now on I'll perform my duties as your husband, on that you have my word. And as soon as I've got something cleared up back in New Orleans we'll return to your home and stay. I get that you're people are in to family, I won't keep you from home any longer than possible, alright?)"

The thought of the other woman being wed to another so soon was too confusing, so she steered away from it, instead saying, "(My home is where you make it, husband.)"

"(Well I'll make it in your home, darlin'. It ain't right of me to do otherwise,)" he said, voice full of firm conviction that left little choice in the matter.
