Mornbein steered Lobo between the tall buildings, dodging billboards and the occasional pigeon, starling, seagull, or flying cop car. Warren's arms were around her waist and the sun was shining, and the combination made her heart sing.

"I goin' too fast 'er too high, hotstuff?" she yelled over the wind, remembering his yelp when the bike had first taken off. Yay for flying bikes.

He'd accidentally burned through his shirt "Warning first WARNING!" he yelped.

"I said hang on!" She looked over her shoulder and nearly drove into a seagull.

"Pretty end first." She chuckled and shook her head, the light fading. "Am I gonna haveta tie ya on the bike?"

"How about no bike and walking?" he offered "And I don't have a pretty end"

She chuckled and gave him another one, then pushed away and led him toward Lobo.

He sighed "hmm still don't like that bike"

"How about steak sandwiches?" She looked at a little place they were passing, smiling at the kiss but concentrating on navigating the down town Gotham traffic.

"Chocolate milkshakes" he said firmly "Beyond that, don't care"

She grinned up at him, her eyes dancing. "Last time I quit you freaked."

He groaned there was no winning with her.

"Abso fraggin lutely adorable." She leaned her cheek on her fist and smirked at him.

He groaned "Thats it I'm going home"

She set the shake down and pulled him closer, then put her arms around him and lay her head against his chest without getting up off her stool. "You got nothin' ta apologize for, Hotstuff. So a few more things'll get fragged before I get over this. That's nothin' new."

He smiled softly "Look, eat then home? You're tiring" he grinned.

"I'da fragged yer scrawny @#$%&$#@ by then." He lowered his head, but then yelped as Mornbein seemed to explode, her fist connecting with his chest with a crack.

And that made Warren laugh hard and brightly.

"Can ya fly?"

"Not that I'm aware of"

She looked up at him with wide blue eyes, then tried a lip wibble.

He was not changing on this "No"

She made a soft sound of sympathy and wiped his neck too, then cupped his cheek with her hand to test for fever. "There's a place 'round the corner where we kin git a room. Think ya kin make it through a portal?"

He was getting the sort of fever only a firebug could get. He smiled "I can make it home"

She hit the speeddial on her cellphone and looked at the little holoscreen.

"More?" asked Narmo.

"Yeah, he's boilin'."

"Alright."

There was a thump at the door a few minutes later and she got up to get the new ice. "Let some'a the water out, hotstuff. Sheesh, we should jes' stick ya in a meat locker."

He grinned pulling the plug "You're funny" he giggled. "And sooooooooo cute....."

"Okay, Narmo, ya can get lost. He just needsta sleep now." She pulled the plug and took the chunk of ice away from her husband.

"(Alright)," he said in Quenya. "(I will see you, my sister. Eru guard your ways.)"

"Suck." She grinned at him, then ignored him as he left.
