Remieverse. The Red Rose Cafe and environs. Another hop back into time.
Joy stretched luxuriously, then adjusted her pale grey shorts, smoothing the front panel that made them look like a mini skirt.
"Are ye comin', me love?" she called, stepping through the bedroom door. Then she froze as she wound up on the night-time street of a human city instead of in the hallway of the castle on the way to breakfast. "Aii! Kurti?"

"Remie," she offered her hand and a smile.
"Must be a different vorld, in my reality you are a man," he said weakly. Remie laughed.

"No, Schattenfeen. The Professor made us a long time after the first vones," said Schalk, then went to serve a customer at the end of the bar before returning. "Vhat are Volk?"
"Seevölker." Joy walked forward and absently stood on her toes to get onto a stool, her eyes never leaving the stranger. "They came from the desert folk, but they've been living on another vorld fer a long time. Me moeder vas 'o that clan."
"Und your father?" asked Schalk, his ears perked with interest.
"James 'o Howlett. A human mon."

Remie arched an eyebrow.
"Huh," she said, looking at her husband and trying to picture him as a girl. Then she winced and went over, slapping his butt gently and playfully to help clear the girl version of him out of her mind.
Kurt blinked, then went and sat by his wife.
"So ze human do not hate us here?" he said, blinking. Remie smiled.
"No more den day hate who's different in dier own kind," she said. "We jus' nudder spectrum o' people."
