Remieverse. The Red Rose Cafe and environs. Another hop back into time.
Joy stretched luxuriously, then adjusted her pale grey shorts, smoothing the front panel that made them look like a mini skirt.
"Are ye comin', me love?" she called, stepping through the bedroom door. Then she froze as she wound up on the night-time street of a human city instead of in the hallway of the castle on the way to breakfast. "Aii! Kurti?"

Soft music came from the nearby cafe, and she could hear a deep voice humming along contentedly over the drone of conversation.

As they entered the foyer of the cafe a bright, cheerful voice called out to them.
"G'night, hommes. Care t' take a rest from de bar 'oppin' n' have somethin' t' eat?" a tall woman with red on black eyes grinned at them. Kurt stared in utter shock, met with much the same look from the woman, only directd towards Joy.
"Amour, dat someone a' yoh fam'ly?" she said softly, going to her husband.

"You are our friends, dis our bar, we treat who we wanna," Remie said.
"What about treatin' me, sweet cheeks?" a less-than-sober man grinned. Remie arched an eyebrow and looked at Schalk.
"Gutter delivery," she said calmly, walking over to them.

"You decided to marry before you vhere in love?" Kurt gaped slightly. Remie chuckled.
"He saved me," she said softly. "N' I knew he was a good man, n' I was beginin' t' feel for him. After we get t'gether it was obvious it was as it meant t' be."

Kurt blinked, then looked at Schalk.
"Vat time is it?" he said, worried about keeping the pregnant woman and husband up after being up all day.
