Joy stretched luxuriously, then adjusted her pale grey shorts, smoothing the front panel that made them look like a mini skirt.

"Are ye comin', me love?" she called, stepping through the bedroom door. Then she froze as she wound up on the night-time street of a human city instead of in the hallway of the castle on the way to breakfast. "Aii! Kurti?"

"Rogue," Kurt's eyes got big.

"Yes?" asked Schalk absently.

"Nien... zat voman. She vas ze Rogue un mien old reality," he said softly. "Herr Logan's heart daughter."

Schalk blinked and looked at him, then turned back to the two women. "She's Marie, our neighbor and most regular customer."

"Ah," he said, nodding, then blinking as Remie gave the woman a kiss on the cheek and slid over.

"I t'ink we better offer her a job soon," she chuckled, sliding into Schalk's arms lovingly.

"Is she looking?" He straightened to accept her, then enfolded her in arms and wings so that only her head and feet showed. His ears twitched as he snuggled her close and lay his cheek against the back of her hair.

Joy sat and gaped slightly at such a blatant PDA.

"Nien. She gone back to ask to wait foh t'night while we visit," she smiled, melting into his embrace.

Kurt blinked, then chuckled at Joy's expression.

"Remy LeBeau is known for open loving," he murmured to her.

"Looking for a job, I meant," murmured Schalk, then blinked and gave a little start as Kurt's low words reminded them of the visitors. "Ach, sorry, friends."

Joy blushed and lowered her eyes. "Fergi' me."

"Nut'in t' forgive," Remie smiled. "Non, baby, jus' keeps insistin' she good 'nough t' do it. She'll ask soon if we don'."

Kurt smiled slightly, rubbing the back of her hand.

"Ah." The dark man chuckled, wondering if he should let go of Remie. "Kurt knows Marie in his vorld."

"Oui?" she said, smiling. "Dat nice."

"Only she is ze Rogue there," he said, earning a frown.

"Den where my man?" she said, arms wrapping around him protectively.

"Not zere," Kurt said regretfully. Remie thought for a moment, then smiled.

"Good. Den I got de only one," she said, kissing him.

Schalk sighed, eyes softening and then blinking a little dazedly. "No. Ve don't have alternates. None of the Feen do."

"Really?" Joy blinked and perked her ears.

"Ja."
