Joy stretched luxuriously, then adjusted her pale grey shorts, smoothing the front panel that made them look like a mini skirt.

"Are ye comin', me love?" she called, stepping through the bedroom door. Then she froze as she wound up on the night-time street of a human city instead of in the hallway of the castle on the way to breakfast. "Aii! Kurti?"

"Oui, but no' as much as Schalk's," she chuckled. "You wan' more? Or somet'in else? We got all de Cajun n' french spices you coul' wan."

"This too hot fer ye, Leibe?" Joy offered Kurt a bite of the fish, knowing that he didn't appreciate spice as much as she did.

He bit back a cough, then smiled.

"I vill stick to ze chips," he said fondly.

"You wan' more spice?" Remie looked hopeful.

"Best not vhile it's on the same plate as Kurti's," she said apologetically.

Schalk, meanwhile, found a less spicy piece of his own and held it to Remie's mouth, his eyes gleaming softly as they always did when he gave her a gift.

She smiled.

"Then I'll put them on seperate plates," she said, offering some of Schalk's. "You like dis?"

Then she gently snatched the offered piece, kissing his cheek in thanks.

The winged woman tasted, then nodded approval and twitched her ears. "Well nigh perfect."

She smiled, finished eatter her bit, and quickly kissed her husband's lips before whisking away the other's plate, quickly fixing it and returning.

"Here," she said, giving some plainer fish to Kurt and a slightly larger plate to Joy, which was well seasoned.

"Danke," Kurt grinned.

"So... how do you get a vorld outside time?" Schalk wanted to know.
