Joy stretched luxuriously, then adjusted her pale grey shorts, smoothing the front panel that made them look like a mini skirt.

"Are ye comin', me love?" she called, stepping through the bedroom door. Then she froze as she wound up on the night-time street of a human city instead of in the hallway of the castle on the way to breakfast. "Aii! Kurti?"

"Ye maun eat," insisted Joy as Schalk gently let go of Remie after a last snuzzle.

"She'll like the same things that I do," he murmured, watching the other couple with an ear twitch.

"Sounds good," she said, kissing his cheek. "I'll leave you to it, den."

Moving off she started collectings the bills as she went, bidding the cook goodnight with a kiss on the cheek and a thanks, then she dissappeared into the kitchen.

Kurt blinked, then looked at Schalk.

"Vat time is it?" he said, worried about keeping the pregnant woman and husband up after being up all day.

The winged man stretched hugely, then scratched his chest and wondered where his shirt had gone this time. "Three oclock."

"In ze morning?" Kurt looked incredibally alarmed.

"Ja." Schalk perked his ears quizzically.

"How long haff you been up?" the blue man said, eyes big.

"I never sleep." His ears twitched.

"Your vife?" he said, then blinking as he heard a sweet alto singing a Cajun love song as ovens and cutlery clattered.

"Is going strong. Adam, the cook, says that she can go for a whole Mardi Grass vithout sleep." Schalk watched the last of the patrons leave, then hopped over the bar to chase Marie out as well and close the doors for the night.

Kurt's eyebrows shot up. "Und ze baby does not affect it?" he asked curiously.

"Nein, not at all." The ear twitch was stronger. Schalk was proud of his wife.

"If anyt'in de bebe keeps me up," Remie laughed, returning with homemade fish and chips as an appetizer while the meat cooked.

Schalk reached to see if he could acquire a piece of the succulent fish for himself as Joy sat up properly and turned to face the bar.

Remie gently slapped his hand, then smirked and presented him with his very own plate.
