Terra Tunn: The Castle on the Plain: Studying

Saki sits at the edge of the forest by her and Jubal and Blade’s new home as she studies some of the books that lay around her, all third year medicle texts that she memorizes intently.

She frowns slightly in concentration, makes a few more notes in a large notebook she keeps, then puts down, and sighs as she leans back and enjoys the sunlight.

Then she reaches out and picks Puffball up, holds her close and feeds her a cracker as she enjoys the sun’s warmth and the beautiful scenery around her.

"Babe, the whole point of this place is you. 'N if you can't be comfy here then we'll just go find someplace better." He snuggled her close, hoping that she could understand what he was saying.

She returns the gesture.

"I love it here, I just wanted to make sure," she says, and a smile stretched across her face.

He quirked an eyebrow. "This is all for you...." He frowned and lifted his head to look at something on one of the towers, then sighed and let his head flop back, feeling glad that Saki wouldn't be able to see Blade up there chasing birds.

"I love you," she whispers, voice soft as she kisses under his chin, then sighs and settles in.

Jubal sighed, knowing that the grin on his face was pretty dumb looking right now.

Then he narrowed his eyes at a little black cloud that was floating along overhead. -No....-

It rained on them.

"Ack!" He jumped up, Saki cradled in his arms. "Brace yourself, chica, I'm going fast!"

She does so, feels frightened for a moment and grabs his shirt.

"My books, and Puffball!" she gasps.

He swooped back and quickly put them into her arms, then headed toward the castle as fast as it was safe to go. -At least I'm keeping the water off of her. Dumb cloud....-

She blinks and shivers, then turns to his heat.

"Jubal, are you wet?" she asks, voice soft with worry. "You should change so you do not catch a cold."

He blinked as he settled onto his feet in the huge front hall.

"Chica, I don't get sick anymore, remember?" he said gently, then kissed her on the forehead.

"Yes," she says, and looks down. "But I still get scared," she admits with a blush.
