Terra Tunn: The Castle on the Plain: Studying

Saki sits at the edge of the forest by her and Jubal and Blade’s new home as she studies some of the books that lay around her, all third year medicle texts that she memorizes intently.

She frowns slightly in concentration, makes a few more notes in a large notebook she keeps, then puts down, and sighs as she leans back and enjoys the sunlight.

Then she reaches out and picks Puffball up, holds her close and feeds her a cracker as she enjoys the sun’s warmth and the beautiful scenery around her.

He chuckled softly and turned his back so that she could feel his shirt and see how dry it was.

She feels it, then hugs him.

"Good," she murmurs, the sticks Puffball in her pocket. "Thank you for saving Puffball and my books, Jubal."

"No problem, my chica." He put his hands over hers and rocked very gently from side to side, ignoring Apple and Clarice as they went around his head.

She melts against him, then leans back. "Have you seen Blade? I can not find her."

"Uh...." He blinked guiltily, keeping his shields up as he jolted out of the happy happy feelings. "I'll go get her."

Jubal smiled back, then stepped away from her and swooped outside again to deal with his ornery fosterling.

Saki smiles, then gathers her books to her, Puffball on her shoulder, and makes for the library to retun the books and store her notebook while she waits for dinner to start.

Jubal returned a few moments later, looking bemusedly after Blade as she tore off toward her rooms like her butt was on fire and then cocking his head to see where Saki was. Hearing her talking to the librarian, he chuckled and took to the air, landing just outside the library door.

"Hey, Vera," he said to the tiny, ancient gnome woman, then grinned at Saki and looked up, up at the mural painted on the ceiling.
