New Haven: Family
Jay-Jay smiled as she walked out of the resturaunt she waitressed in, folding her apron and looking around, stretching and making her way down the road, spotting her husband in his usual place in the foodcourt. Children hung off him as he dozed, AJ held close and Isha not currently in sight. A sign with a collection pail beneathe it hanging near him read "Kiddie care, $5 an hour".
She smiled fondly, going over and hunkering down next to him, giving him a kiss.
"Hey, babe. Good day?" she asked. He rumbled and looked up at her, eyes twinkling as he slowly rolled over, sending the children climbing on him scattering and laughing as he displayed AJ, who Jay-Jay kissed. "Where's Isha?"

The woman exchanged a glance with Jay-Jay and smiled, then walked over to a display and picked something up, which she brought back and knelt to show Isha.
The toddler's eyes went wide again as she beheld a little round kitten-baby that looked just like her but for the dark grey of its fur. "Mama! He's the same colour as AJ!"

Isha looked up at her, then did so cautiously. "Feels like Ben's tummy!"
Emboldened by this discover, the toddler gently smoothed the dolls frilly white dress and bonnet, then took the tiny plaything into her arms and cradled it. "Oh! Her eyes're closing!"
They were indeed. Slowly, like a real baby's would.

"She's beautiful, isn't she?" she asked.
