New Haven: Family

Jay-Jay smiled as she walked out of the resturaunt she waitressed in, folding her apron and looking around, stretching and making her way down the road, spotting her husband in his usual place in the foodcourt. Children hung off him as he dozed, AJ held close and Isha not currently in sight. A sign with a collection pail beneathe it hanging near him read "Kiddie care, $5 an hour".

She smiled fondly, going over and hunkering down next to him, giving him a kiss.

"Hey, babe. Good day?" she asked. He rumbled and looked up at her, eyes twinkling as he slowly rolled over, sending the children climbing on him scattering and laughing as he displayed AJ, who Jay-Jay kissed. "Where's Isha?"

"I can look X negative. Around here this is normal." Uzulee grinned, then took Desdemona off her shoulder and let her down to the ground before shifting again. A small blue sabertooth tiger sat up and looked at Jay-Jay.

"Wow," she said softly, amazed. "Three forms... sorry. X negative's what I've always known to be normal. I didn't mean any offence or anything."

The cat blurred and rose up to Uzulee's human form again. "None taken. I've lived in human places, so I understood."

"The Lunatic Cafe." Her smile dimmed slightly and she reached down as Desdemona reached up, lifting the doll by the hand and settling her back on her shoulder.

"Several times. I was usually sitting in a booth toward the center of the room with a cat, a little yellow dragon, and a guy that smelled kind of like a cat."

She smelled sad when she spoke of the man and the animals.

"I... I was mostly a wreck when I was there," she admitted. "Why did you move here?"

"I couldn't take being inside all the time anymore after I'd learned to be outside at the Cafe," said Uzulee as they came out into the food court. "And Wolvie came here, so I followed."

"That sounds nive," she smiled, then looked over at John. "You know, we ahve a lot of food for dinner. If you'd like you could join... well... ok, they're asleep, but I'd enjoy your company," she smiled.

Uzulee chuckled and settled cross-legged on the floor with Desdemona and her shopping bag beside her. "Sure."

Jay-Jay smiled, then knelt by John and gently tucked Isha into his arm, which moved automatically to take her and tuck her in.

Jay-Jay's smile grew before went and sat closer to Uzulee, handing her a bag.

"That's a pretty popular dish at the restuaraunt, but I have other food, to," she said.
