Goliath sighed as he walked through the door and found himself and his alternate in the hospital cafeteria. "I meant to get something to eat, but I'd forgotten."

A young nurse came up behind them and gently poked gargoyle Goliath in the wing. "Excuse me, please. I need coffee NOW."

"Is there something I am missing? You seem... uncomfortable around her."

Hudson turned away to look down at Lex, the set of his shoulders showing his discomfort. "Ahhh. The lass is a little fond 'o me."

Despite the graveness of the situation, Goliath cannot help but smile slightly. "I see."

"Had been e'n afore 'er change...." He cleared his throat and gently moved Lex slightly on the bed by way of changing the subject.

Goliath simply nodded, his gaze returning to Lexington. Rarely had he ever felt so powerless.

Hours later

Goliath stretched and groaned, then made Elisa grumble and swear as he suddenly rolled over and went to one elbow to look toward the bed. Hudson and Doctor Lucy weren't in the room, but he could see the form of his twin there.

He frowned and looked at the clock, then murmured soothing words and wrapped Elisa in the blanket before standing and coming to join the other Goliath.

Goliath nodded, before yawning and stretching slightly. "It has been a long night," he said, "but one I am glad to have been a part of."
