Valley of the Queens: Exploring

Jubee drifted through the sky of the newest world she'd discovered, humming happily as she looked around, then grinned when she recognized the bio signiture of somebody she knew.

Swooping down she landed hard, rolling to a stop right next to the Jubal she'd known to be a hero, and have a wife named Saki. She'd been hoping to find him.

So, as soon as she fixed the many inconvieniances that her rough landing had caused, she go up and hug him.

"Betcha could." He switched on the voice mail and got to his feet without putting her down. "Y' wanna room? I got a couple spare ones."

She snuggled in, reaching back for the frog, then leaned against him.

"I'm not tired. I don't need to take up a room, I'm a machine," she said softly, coming across this fact again. She bowed her head, but looking up at him she smiled again and laid her head against his chest, listening and feeling his heartbeat with the usual amount of wonder.

"My junior partners always got their own space," he said firmly, watching as the frog crawled onto her hand and hugged her pointer finger. "Y'need someplace t' make pink."

"Pink's nice," she smiled, holding the frog carefully and securely. "I'll be a good junior partner, I promise."

He chuckled and sniffed for Jubal, then set her down and headed out of the room and toward the front hall and the basement stairs, never doubting that she'd follow... or lead the way.

She did follow closely, as she would unless he told her to stay put.

"Where we goin'?" she asked, looking up curiosuly, still holding the frog carefully.

"Basement." He rumbled down the stairs and looked around what looked very much like a bachelor's home- an open space furnished with furniture and fridge and with a few doors leading off it. He paused to frown for a moment, but then nodded and headed toward one room in particular. "This one's gotta window."

"Wow," she said, looking around, eyes big. "This place is cool!"

He grinned without replying as he opened the door in question and peeked inside. To his relief the room held only dust, so he stepped aside to see what Jubilee thought.

"Oh wow!" she peeked, then raced in, staring around. "This... this is awesome!"

Patch grinned, then turned and walked out into the main room again, where he went to a truck in the corner and opened it to dig around. "I know that's still in here...."

"Wolvie?" she peeked out and frowned curiosuly. "Whatcha doin'?"

"Here ya are." He straightened and looked at the large Pikachu doll that he had tracked down and bought for his original Jubilee, then turned and held it out questioningly toward Jubee.

She looked at it, then squee'd and grabbed it, snuggling in. The faux fur made her senses tingle, making her shiver. "It's wonderful, Wolvie!"

Without really noticing she'd started to cry again.
