Helena was beginning to get depressed.  She'd tried--several times--to get home, all without success.  She was already missing her teammates--not to mention hoping to God that they weren't going out of their mind with worry about her.  And frankly, this Gotham was too different, too strange, too far ahead of her own for her to ever be comfortable here.

"I just want to go home," she muttered.  "Or to do something useful... Why the heck am I even here?"

"Oh...." She put up a hand and rubbed her temple in a vulnerable gesture, then started as a muscular black-haired man came up behind her and put a hand on her shoulder. "OH! Conner, you startled me."

"Are you alright?" He frowned down at her, then looked up with a start and saw Helena.

"Oh," he said softly.

She gave the girl another look, trying to figure out why in the heck she was so familiar...

"Er... I'm missing something here, aren't I?"

He took a deep breath, then stepped forward and offered a hand. "Conner Kent. This is my younger sister, Clara."

So that's it... they remind me of Clark. And maybe a little bit of Kara in the girl.

She took the hand. "Helena Wayne."

"Pleasure to meet you, ma'am." The manners that the Kents had tried so hard to instill in him all those years ago came to the fore, making him even more like the man that he'd looked up to as a big brother.

Clara offered a shy smile, though she still looked slightly shocked.

Yep. Definitely a lot of Clark in this one. Come to think of it, the girl kinda reminds me of Lois.

"Sorry if I surprised you," she said to Clara.

"It's alright," said the child shyly. "You just reminded me of someone."

"Reminded ya 'a who, Losse?" asked another voice, and a tall, pale skinned man with black hair and bright blue eyes stopped to look at Helena thoughtfully. "Hey, I'm Ben Wolf."

Geeze, what is this place? Grand Central Station?

"Hey. I'm Helena. Helena Wayne."

"There was no need to make up that ridiculous alias, Master Narmo," said Prudence as she passed through with a watering pot in her hands. "Miss Helena is a member of the JSA in her own place."

"Oh...." He looked goofy as Conner laughed at him.
