Helena was beginning to get depressed.  She'd tried--several times--to get home, all without success.  She was already missing her teammates--not to mention hoping to God that they weren't going out of their mind with worry about her.  And frankly, this Gotham was too different, too strange, too far ahead of her own for her to ever be comfortable here.

"I just want to go home," she muttered.  "Or to do something useful... Why the heck am I even here?"

"I definitely need a scorecard to keep this place straight," she said. Then blushed. "Er, no offense."

"Don't tell'er what suit he's wearin' right now," said Narmo.

"Shut up," Conner told him without turning away from Helena. "Erm... you know Clark's my son?"

Helena will let the suit issue drop for the moment.

She nodded. "Guessed it anyway. Enough of a family resemblance."

"Nah." Narmo sniggered. "The kid's a lot better lookin' than Con."

"Shut up!" Conner slugged him upside the head good-naturedly.

Helena stifled a laugh.

"You two are worse than Sylvester and Kara."

"I think they're worse." Clara shook her head as she watched them look innocent. "They're brother in laws."

"Eh, Kara's a very... liberated woman," Helena said. "And Syl, well, he means well, but he's still kinda stuck in the 40s sometimes."

"Yeah... that would have gotten on her nerves." Conner winced.

"Sounds like fun." Narmo grinned toothily, then sobered as Clara gave him a reproachful look. "What?? She's not dead everywhere."
