Josh's Reality: Lab: Better Lead than Dead

Though temporarily out of the Phantom Zone and given just a wee bit of a reprieve, Mon-El was still dying, still suffering from lead poisoning in his veins.  Even if he could be cured of what was killing him now, the odds of encountering lead again were tremendous.  It would take a miracle to truly save his life.

His vision was hazy, pain making it hard to focus, but he could make out a high tech laboratory, one that would have been the envy of many a scientist.

"I think our cuffs are finished now." Josh got up to go and look, returning shortly and offering Lar's to him.

Lar took it and snapped it on, before examining it with his super-vision. "Looks good," he said.

Josh looked at his own, marveling that he could barely see the circuits that he'd made. It was almost as if the electronics had become part of the glass... which flexed on the side near to his skin but was hard on the outer side.

"And it all works." He narrowed his eyes to make out the very slightly different spectrums of the two forcefields. "Hand me the belt and I'll put it away."

Josh looked up from his cuff with a grin of his own as he realized that he was finally going to get to fly with someone who'd be able to keep up with him. "Just let me put this away and finish eating."
