Warren's 'verse. Home. Not so early morning.

Early afternoon sunshine peeked through the curtains and rested on the edge of the big king-sized bed. Mornbein had been watching it move slowly along over the hours till it had found her sleeping husband's toes where he lay sprawled peacefully with a sweet, innocent expression on his face. He'd learned by now not to snore while he slept unless he wanted to eat something wriggling and unpleasant, but his mouth was still just slightly open.

-Fraggin' adorable,- she thought, rubbing her belly, which was also sleeping at the moment after playing most of the night.

Then she slipped off the bed and out of the room to return with an ice cube, which she stuck in Warren's shirt.

Warren had become awake enough to be almost aware of what she was up to, so when he felt the cold of ice he managed to not flinch. Instead there was the sounds of bubbling and boiling and a small flame.

She blinked at the lack of reaction, then chuckled and lay down on her side kiss him on the cheek. "Mornin', hotstuff."

Even though it really wasn't morning anymore.

"Not awake still asleep" he smirked

"Aintcha hungry yet?" She gently rubbed his chest and nuzzled close.

"Nope, sleeping" he giggled "BUt I suppose breakfast in bed could be good"

"Nah. Last time ya tried that I spilled stuff all over the bed." She snuggled closer, snerking as the baby woke up and booted him in the side.

He laughed "Practise makes perfect" he points out.

"I ain't hungry anyway." The baby boots turned into a massive shove.

He moved away from the baby before saying "I am"

She followed him, trying to move in for a snog.

"Baby booting!" he complained

"Yeah, I know. I'm between the two 'a ya." She leaned back slightly and gave him a scowl.

He kissed her cheek. "When's it coming OUT!"

"'Bout a month 'n a half." She scowled at him some more, but then once more determinedly snuggled close, wanting to cuddle.

He smiled snuggling back "I wanna hold the baby, you ALWAYS get to hold the baby" he pouted

"Awww." She put an arm around him and looked down at the belly in question, which had given a mighty stretch and snuggle of its own. "I kin hardly wait fer 'im ta come out either... this no beer's killin' me."

He chuckled "Hmm I should have a beer"

"My hand's real close ta yer ribs, fragbrain." She smiled at him sweetly, though her eyes still showed her love for him under the slight ire.

She slipped her lower hand between his side and the mattress, then pinched hard.

He yelped jumping up

"Fragbrain." She got up and wandered out to go eat a frozen TV dinner.

"Look whos talking" he said chasing after her to tickle her

She looked over her shoulder, then screeched and bolted down the stairs and around the corner, no portals in sight for once.
