Patchverse: New room

Jubilee walked to and fro, staring at her newly refurbished, very pink, very comfortable room.

Her face portrayed how much these objects meant to her, and she couldn't stop exploring her room, holding the Pikachu plushie while she did, happily touching things. She paused when she sensed something tiny nearby, and got down on her hands and knees.

She peeked under the bed, then giggled when she saw a small brown mouse exploring the cavern.

"Hi there," she said, reaching a hand out to it. The mouse stirred, then turned and peered at her, and she grinned.

She nodded and sighed, then blinked as Arnold started to run madly on the wheel in his cage. "You... you wanna stay and watch a movie till Wolvie comes home?" she asks hopefully, nodding to the older television she'd repaired on the way home.

She grinned. "That's ok. I think you'll like my favorite too." She grinned and then turned, taking a disc off her shelf and putting it in, then hurrying over. "I got bean bags to sit on!"

"Kurt, are you hiding?" asked a male voice. A black-haired man in his twenties looked through the door and blinked with surprise. "Oh. Hi."

"No, Matt, I am not hiding. I am entertaining my young cousin," said Kurt firmly as he moved toward one of the beanbags.

Jubilee looked up, then grinned and hopped over, offering her hand. "Hi! I'm Jubee! Wanna watch a movie with us?"

His green eyes twinkled as he shook her hand. "I thought Patch was staying home a lot more than usual. Sure, what are we watching?"

"It's about superheroes, and they're all really cool!" she said enthusiastically, taking his hand and letting him come in too. She looked at the two beanbags, one already occupied, and then looked near Arnold's cage, where a third slowly came into view. "You can sit there," she said, pointing to the real beanbag, then grinned and plopped into her own and snuggled deep into it, grinning at her new friends.

Matt blinked... literally. He disappeared and reappeared as he looked at her curiously. Then he cocked his head and listened before sniffing.

And Kurt just grinned at him.
