Patchverse: New room

Jubilee walked to and fro, staring at her newly refurbished, very pink, very comfortable room.

Her face portrayed how much these objects meant to her, and she couldn't stop exploring her room, holding the Pikachu plushie while she did, happily touching things. She paused when she sensed something tiny nearby, and got down on her hands and knees.

She peeked under the bed, then giggled when she saw a small brown mouse exploring the cavern.

"Hi there," she said, reaching a hand out to it. The mouse stirred, then turned and peered at her, and she grinned.

Tikvah squeezed Jubilee's shoulder gently in warning as Matt scratched his head and said, "Um... what? Did he get married while he was drunk again?"

Jubee blinked in surprise, but then nodded and fell silent.

"Who's your favorite character?" she asked, hugging his arm. "I like the Thing."

He gave her a puzzled look. "Yeah, he's pretty good. But that's not what he looked like. He was a lot taller, for one thing. Even Bengie's taller than that guy."

Matt chuckled. "This is from one of those realities where we don't exist, isn't it?"

"Yeah. They've got a lot of great movies about all of us, though some of the stories are a little silly, and they get a lot of details wrong," she smiled, laying her head against his arm and waatching. "I met the Human Torch once. He was a little stuck up, but really nice."

"Uncle Johnny died before I was born. Simon's alright, though." He moved a little so that she could hug more comfortably. Then he chuckled. "I see they took artistic license with Aunt Alicia."
