Other Gargoyles-verse: Hospital: Checking Up

The ability to travel freely and unmolested in the modern world was a new enough concept to be novel to Goliath.  For Elisa, it was nearly heartbreaking.  She'd lost this world.  She held no reservations about the fact that she'd become a Gargoyle.  Though she had lost much, her relationship with Goliath, the Clan, and the lives she'd help save more than made up for it.

All the same, being able to simply walk through a human hospital and get only the occasional odd glance (some of which was no doubt due to their resemblance to the very human Goliath and Elisa Maza of this world), was a miracle indeed.

"Hope ah, Lex is okay..." Elisa said.

"Would you believe she's taught Al how to climb curtains?" She skirted the group as she spoke and stopped next to Lex's bed, taking his hand as he held it out.

"Och, that she has." Hudson shook his head ruefully.

"Wing!" the toddler told her, pulling on her own. Then she clapped her hands and laughed.

"Um...." A brown gargoyle female with white hair stopped in the doorway.

"Dinnae worry, Del, lass. They're friends," Hudson assured her. "Come on in."

The other gargoyle woman straightened her leather jacket and tossed her head to get her hair out of her eyes. "I'm Delilah, of the Labyrinth clan."

And she smelled partially human... familiar human.

"Goliath told us about you, so that we wouldn't be confused if we met." She ducked her head shyly, then adjusted her jacket again as it moved.
