Other Gargoyles-verse: Hospital: Checking Up

The ability to travel freely and unmolested in the modern world was a new enough concept to be novel to Goliath.  For Elisa, it was nearly heartbreaking.  She'd lost this world.  She held no reservations about the fact that she'd become a Gargoyle.  Though she had lost much, her relationship with Goliath, the Clan, and the lives she'd help save more than made up for it.

All the same, being able to simply walk through a human hospital and get only the occasional odd glance (some of which was no doubt due to their resemblance to the very human Goliath and Elisa Maza of this world), was a miracle indeed.

"Hope ah, Lex is okay..." Elisa said.

Elisa blinked in surprise and then pointed at her Goliath. "You. Take notes. Learn to be more funny."

Goliath's face remained impassive. "If that is your wish..."

"Actually," confessed Goliath sheepishly. "My Elisa said that first."

Goliath chuckled at that. "Well... I still suppose it could not hurt to try."

"Darn skippy," Elisa added. "How you doing, ah... other Goliath?"

"I'm well." He smiled, his eyes going to Lex. "And yourself?"

"We continue to have our troubles," Goliath replied, "but our blessings as well."

Elisa smiled and nodded. "In a, ah, pretty round about way, we're going to be parents ourselves pretty quick."
