Other Gargoyles-verse: Hospital: Checking Up

The ability to travel freely and unmolested in the modern world was a new enough concept to be novel to Goliath.  For Elisa, it was nearly heartbreaking.  She'd lost this world.  She held no reservations about the fact that she'd become a Gargoyle.  Though she had lost much, her relationship with Goliath, the Clan, and the lives she'd help save more than made up for it.

All the same, being able to simply walk through a human hospital and get only the occasional odd glance (some of which was no doubt due to their resemblance to the very human Goliath and Elisa Maza of this world), was a miracle indeed.

"Hope ah, Lex is okay..." Elisa said.

"Yes...." He examined his gun and brushed at the tiny motes of shimmer that clung to it, then watched them float up to join the rest of the shimmer. His brow furrowed.

"Alright, here's Lex's blankets." Lucy walked in with a large cotton laundry bag, only to drop it in surprise as the shimmer suddenly moved with lightening speed and vanished into it. "What???"

The tiny mutate stared down at the 20 pound bag of laundry as it seemed to sink into itself slightly, her muzzle wrinkling into a slight snarl.

"Lucy, lass, step ye away," said Hudson, his brow furrowed with concern as he prayed.

Goliath just watched, his gun held loosely but at the ready.
