Other Gargoyles-verse: Hospital: Checking Up
The ability to travel freely and unmolested in the modern world was a new enough concept to be novel to Goliath. For Elisa, it was nearly heartbreaking. She'd lost this world. She held no reservations about the fact that she'd become a Gargoyle. Though she had lost much, her relationship with Goliath, the Clan, and the lives she'd help save more than made up for it.
All the same, being able to simply walk through a human hospital and get only the occasional odd glance (some of which was no doubt due to their resemblance to the very human Goliath and Elisa Maza of this world), was a miracle indeed.
"Hope ah, Lex is okay..." Elisa said.

"Some of the blankets seem to be gone." Goliath knelt next to the laundry bag and scattered the contents.
Lucy watched him, forcing herself to take deep breaths as she held the baby protectively. "...Thanks."
And Emily finally found her tongue and summed things up succinctly.
"Oh @#$%&$#@."

"What?" Elisa asked.
"It is almost as though the infant was formed from the blankets."

The tiny doctor looked at him blankly, but then handed over the baby, who fussed and sucked on her fist.
Goliath murmured soothingly as he spread out her wings and examined them. Then he ran his fingertips over the closely curled fur that she'd inherited from Lucy and stood to bring her over to Elisa and his twin. "She looks like a normal child, save for her parentage."
Hudson, back by the bag, squeezed his eyes shut and groaned.

"So... the sparkles made Lex's blankets into a baby?" asked Emily.
"Baba?" asked a little voice from under garg-Goliath's wings.

Goliath opened his wings, settling them in a half-open position, now that the danger was passed. He looked down at the two in his arms.

Chelsea looked back at her alternate grandpa with a smile, but Peter was asleep and purring.
"Well?" asked Goliath, frowning. Then he glanced at Hudson as the old gargoyle stood and walked out of the room.
