Other Gargoyles-verse: Hospital: Checking Up

The ability to travel freely and unmolested in the modern world was a new enough concept to be novel to Goliath.  For Elisa, it was nearly heartbreaking.  She'd lost this world.  She held no reservations about the fact that she'd become a Gargoyle.  Though she had lost much, her relationship with Goliath, the Clan, and the lives she'd help save more than made up for it.

All the same, being able to simply walk through a human hospital and get only the occasional odd glance (some of which was no doubt due to their resemblance to the very human Goliath and Elisa Maza of this world), was a miracle indeed.

"Hope ah, Lex is okay..." Elisa said.

Which is what lead to Elisa being on her way to the location Lucy had described. It was funny, actually. It had been a long while since she'd been anywhere near her old apartment, not since they'd moved some of the choice bits of furniture into the Clock Tower.

The alley was wet, and stinky from the dumpster under the fire escape.

Lucy was grinning as she opened her small window and looked out. "You don't have to come to the back."

Elisa frowned as she climbed inside. "Sorry," she said. "I'm just not used to being able to walk around without the torch and pitchfork act."

"Oooo, ouch. Are you losing skin there?" The small mutate winced as she watched the passage through the window.
