K'vk'tun: Hammocks
Ramada stared into the cup of brown beverage that was most definitely not coffee, and then looked over at her small friend, wondering how best to delicately phrase that the stuff tasted like crap and wasn't there anything else to drink.
She could find no euphemism that was guaranteed not to set Mykayla off (truth be told she was a bit grumpy, and Ramada couldn't blame her given the condition she was in), and so instead turned to her small friend and said:
"Do they put sugar in this?"

Isaiah's little arms went out with surprise, and his eyes widened before his face crinkled to cry.

With a sigh, she cuddled Isaiah even closer and clamored out of the pool, following Scrat.

Isaiah made a noise, and she stared down at him and smiled.
"But... here he is." She showed him off as best she could: at this point she wanted to keep the child as close to her as possible in order to keep him warm. "I'm going to take him up to the clinic; he needs his parents."

Warm hands suddenly closed gently over Ramada's shoulders, and then she was wrapped in a pair of massive wings the colour of sun on water.
"Easy," rumbled Seeschein gently. "Take a breath."

Ramada's voice was bordering on hysterics. She hadn't understood a word of what Scrat had just said, that was a lot of shouting that just happened, and above it all Mykayla was eerily still. Twenty years ago came rushing back and she almost collapsed were it not for Seeschein holding her - and Isaiah - up.

"Dude, Auty Mykey's dying or somethin'!" said Rhea.
"No. They said that she vill be alright." He turned his head toward the anxious young teen.

Ramada shook her head firmly, ignoring her daughter's words because they chilled her to the bone.
"I'll believe it when I see it."

"Like I said. When I see her..."
