Josh's Reality: STAR Labs, Gordon Family Compound: Invitations

Lar--who'd been spending much of his time exploring various portions of the multiverse--arrived outside the complex, having teleported into the universe high in orbit.  He wasn't quite sure how one got a message across multiversal lines, but Josh somehow had.  He'd asked Lar to come celebrate, but not specified what.

Still, he was always happy to come see a friend.  His feet touched down on the ground with barely a sound.

"Air ye fond 'o meat?" asked Jaime, giving Josh a slight look for not checking this himself. He gave her a slightly chagrined but charming grin.

"Yeah, I am," Lar agreed. "Though probably not any kind you've heard of."

"I usually eat apatosaur meself. Though river salmon 'n mudworms're good too." She lifted her eyebrows.

Lar chuckled. "All right, that's a bit different too. Most of what I've eaten comes from other planets, though."

"So does this." Her dark eyes danced merrily.

Lar smiled. "Not to say there's anything wrong with Earth food."

"No." Her own smile lit her face. "Fer the most part. Lookin' back at what I grew up on makes me stomach dance. 'N nae wi' happiness!"

He shared in the laugh. "I feel the same way. I can't believe some of the things I ate as a kid."
