Josh's Reality: STAR Labs, Gordon Family Compound: Invitations

Lar--who'd been spending much of his time exploring various portions of the multiverse--arrived outside the complex, having teleported into the universe high in orbit.  He wasn't quite sure how one got a message across multiversal lines, but Josh somehow had.  He'd asked Lar to come celebrate, but not specified what.

Still, he was always happy to come see a friend.  His feet touched down on the ground with barely a sound.

Lar took it and mouthed his thanks. "Sounds good," he said. To him, the diesel and combustion engine--and even the electric one like this--were primitive things, ones his one people had long since abandoned. But the Earth had a long way to go before it reached that point.

"One of my simpler designs," subvocalized Josh as he dropped in his token and followed the others toward the four seats in the very back of the bus.

"Pretty impressive, Josh," he replied, following along and eventually taking a seat.

"Thanks." He squeaked as Jenny poked him, then squeaked again as Jaime got him from the other side.

Lar laughed at their antics, happy to be with people again.

Jaime flashed him a cheeky grin, then poked him too.

Lar chuckled. "Hey now! Whose side are you on?"

"Can ye nae see I am in th' middle?" she pointed out gleefully, then poked him again, her other hand getting Josh and making him yelp softly with surprise.

"That's not what I..." he trailed off, realizing he was being played. "You're just trouble, that's what."

She gave him a cheeky grin, but then yipped and nearly landed in his lap as Jenny reached around Josh and poked her.

"Careful now," he laughed, reaching around her to poke at Jenny.

The petite redhead squealed and then laughed and slapped at his hand with both of hers, deliberately not making contact.
