Josh's Reality: STAR Labs, Gordon Family Compound: Invitations

Lar--who'd been spending much of his time exploring various portions of the multiverse--arrived outside the complex, having teleported into the universe high in orbit.  He wasn't quite sure how one got a message across multiversal lines, but Josh somehow had.  He'd asked Lar to come celebrate, but not specified what.

Still, he was always happy to come see a friend.  His feet touched down on the ground with barely a sound.

"I was just at the moon, the other day," he added. "Took a girl I met in the Nexus up to see it."

"Wow. Fast mover," said Jaime, wincing as bits of shell flew around the table.

He blushed. "Well... I suppose you could say that."

"What did she think?" asked Josh, looking at his aunt curiously and wondering what she'd meant.

"She was pretty impressed by the view. Frankly, I always am too. I never get tired seeing the world from out in space."

"Yeah," said Josh softly. "It's pretty sweet."

"But yeah, that was my big date," he finished.

"Is yer bein' my big date goin' tae cause ye any grief?" asked Jaime, looking up with concern.

"What? No, of course not," he said. "I think it was just a one time thing."

She smiled with relief, then looked curiously toward the front of the restaurant as the music grew a little louder.

"Ohh, here she comes!" Jenny grinned as a trim older lady in a well fitting but modest grey top and flowing pants of the same colour came swirling from behind a curtain and began to dance.

"Och!" Jaime blinked. "Tis that belly dancing that Logan does."

"Don't think I've seen anything quite like that before."

"Me aulder sister does it all the time." Jaime returned to her meal.

Josh blushed slightly, then more so as Jenny laughed and went to help the dancer.

Lar shrugged and took a few more bites of his food. "Fascinating planet," he said.
