Josh's Reality: STAR Labs, Gordon Family Compound: Invitations

Lar--who'd been spending much of his time exploring various portions of the multiverse--arrived outside the complex, having teleported into the universe high in orbit.  He wasn't quite sure how one got a message across multiversal lines, but Josh somehow had.  He'd asked Lar to come celebrate, but not specified what.

Still, he was always happy to come see a friend.  His feet touched down on the ground with barely a sound.

Josh gave him a gentle smack on the back that might have knocked the breath out of most men.

Lar smiled, one that reached all the way to his eyes. "I must have sounded pretty sappy there, huh?"

"Nah, you're alright." Josh chuckled and threw an empty lobster claw at him.

Lar applied just the smallest bit of super-speed and caught the claw before it hit him. "Too slow, Josh."

He just gave him a good natured, challenging grin, then blinked and looked toward the girls as the music sped up. "Oh wow, that's pretty."

It was too, an exuberant celebration with not one dot of anything eeek to it.

Lar smiled and followed his gaze. "Yeah. It is."

Josh watched in silence for a few moments, then returned to his meal. "So... do you have any sisters or brothers?"

"I did. Even if I could find my way back to my reality, I was... away for over two hundred years. They'd be long gone."

"You know you're always welcome here, right?" said Josh quietly.

"Uncle Sonnejäger was talking about asking you if you'd like to be he and Aunt Himmelriß's son," added the young half Kryptonian.

"I... I don't know what to say..."
