Josh's Reality: STAR Labs, Gordon Family Compound: Invitations

Lar--who'd been spending much of his time exploring various portions of the multiverse--arrived outside the complex, having teleported into the universe high in orbit.  He wasn't quite sure how one got a message across multiversal lines, but Josh somehow had.  He'd asked Lar to come celebrate, but not specified what.

Still, he was always happy to come see a friend.  His feet touched down on the ground with barely a sound.

He shook his head. "I can't say that I have. What's it like?"

"A little like sawdust," said Josh thoughtfully, then winced and chuckled as Jenny swatted him and disagreed vehemently.

"It's good," she said, turning to look up at Lar as they passed into the building. "Crisp corn with flavor on it."

"I see," he said, before adding, "I like corn. Clark's mother could do wonders with it."

"Really?" Josh's smile was wistful as he glanced at his friend.

Jaime finally let go of Lar's shirt and wiped her eyes, then looked around. "D'ye see the lady's room?"

"This way." Jenny grabbed her hand and hauled her away.

When the ladies were away, Lar turned to Josh. "She was... rather upset."

"She doesn't like thinking that she offended someone, and she doesn't handle being yelled at very well." Josh looked around at the movie posters. "Thanks for helping her."

"I couldn't just stand there and let it happen," he replied.

"Yeah." Josh sighed, then pointed around at the posters. "See anything you like? That's the Transformers one."
