Josh's Reality: STAR Labs, Gordon Family Compound: Invitations

Lar--who'd been spending much of his time exploring various portions of the multiverse--arrived outside the complex, having teleported into the universe high in orbit.  He wasn't quite sure how one got a message across multiversal lines, but Josh somehow had.  He'd asked Lar to come celebrate, but not specified what.

Still, he was always happy to come see a friend.  His feet touched down on the ground with barely a sound.

"They come in handy." Josh put up a hand and squinted one eye shut as Jenny decided to slap at him, then he handed Jaime the huge box of Extra Hot Tamales and grinned as her face lit up.

Lar would have replied, but his mouth was full as he took a bite of the candy.

"Ohhhh, bestest sweeties in all t' worlds!" Jaime rattled the box softly, then hugged it to her chest with one hand as she beamed up at Lar.

"What? Is something wrong?"

She reached into the little embroidered bag that hung at her waist and pulled out a shell pocket mirror, which she held up for him to see that his lips and teeth were indeed stained a deep greenish blue.

"Great Galaxies...!" he exclaimed, albeit quietly so that no one but his friends would hear the strange exclamation.

Lar stared for a moment, but then broke into laughter.

Josh relaxed and laughed as well, then turned and handed his ticket to the checker, receiving a stamp on his hand in exchange.

"I dinnae get it," admitted Jaime.

"Josh gave me the candy because he knew I wouldn't know it would smear like this," Lar says, chuckling. "I wasn't expecting it at all."
