Josh's Reality: STAR Labs, Gordon Family Compound: Invitations

Lar--who'd been spending much of his time exploring various portions of the multiverse--arrived outside the complex, having teleported into the universe high in orbit.  He wasn't quite sure how one got a message across multiversal lines, but Josh somehow had.  He'd asked Lar to come celebrate, but not specified what.

Still, he was always happy to come see a friend.  His feet touched down on the ground with barely a sound.

Though he could taste that it was hot, Lar's taste buds were every bit as invulnerable as the rest of him. "That's ah... hot," he said.

"Is't hurtin' ye?" Her forehead furrowed with concern.

He chuckled and shook his head. "Not at all."

"Gud." She relaxed, then went wide-eyed as the lights went off in the theater just as they entered.

"I see four way up at the top," murmured Josh, starting up the stairs. "C'mon."

Lar followed upward, gently taking Jamie by the arm to help lead the way.

She was looking toward the screen with wonder, her small feet sure on the stairs as she absently put a hand on Lar's.

"There's words on it," she whispered with dismay.

"Don't worry," he whispered back, applying just a little super-ventriloquism so it only reached her ears. "I can read you anything that comes up."

She flashed him a grateful smile, then squeaked softly and excused herself to the lady at the end of the row as she tiptoed past her.
