Josh's Reality: STAR Labs, Gordon Family Compound: Invitations

Lar--who'd been spending much of his time exploring various portions of the multiverse--arrived outside the complex, having teleported into the universe high in orbit.  He wasn't quite sure how one got a message across multiversal lines, but Josh somehow had.  He'd asked Lar to come celebrate, but not specified what.

Still, he was always happy to come see a friend.  His feet touched down on the ground with barely a sound.

Jenny held out her wrist so that he could see the watch that she wore. "You can see a bit of movement when we go. It's like we blur sideways a bit."

The focus of his eyes shifted just a bit as he scanned it with his x-ray and microscopic vision. "Amazing," he said.

"Technology from another Earth," said Josh softly. "Patterned after the ability of one of their leaders."

"Very nice," he agreed.

Josh chuckled. "Wanna see what it's like?"

"Sure, why not."

"Okay, come stand over here." He called up the holographic screen and quickly adjusted something, then let it vanish and looked at his friend with a grin.

"All right," he said, moving to stand where he was told.

"Ready?"

"Ready."

The lights around them seemed to blur sideways, and there was the slightest sensation of movement. Then they were standing in the Nexus.

"Very... cool? Is that the right word here?"

"Yup." He grinned, then held his finger over the button so that Lar would know to be ready for the return trip.

Which was the same as the outgoing one, safe that Lar found himself Jaime pounced when he arrived.
