Josh's Reality: STAR Labs, Gordon Family Compound: Invitations

Lar--who'd been spending much of his time exploring various portions of the multiverse--arrived outside the complex, having teleported into the universe high in orbit.  He wasn't quite sure how one got a message across multiversal lines, but Josh somehow had.  He'd asked Lar to come celebrate, but not specified what.

Still, he was always happy to come see a friend.  His feet touched down on the ground with barely a sound.

Her arms tightened around his neck as she contemplated leaving the ground. "Och... alright...."

He adjusted his arms so he was actually carrying her, rather than letting her hang by his neck. He also started floating a few inches off the ground.

"Eeeek!" was her response, though more surprise than fear. She hugged his neck and hid her face.

Then peeked.

"Don't worry," he said. "You're perfectly safe." He floated over to the edge, leaving nothing but empty air beneath him.

Her eyes widened as she looked down. True, the distance was much less than that which she saw when she looked down from the terrace at home... but there was stone holding her up there.

"Eeek! Och...." She didn't hide again, instead becoming distracted by the coming and going of people below them.

"Aye...." She leaned over to look, then started as someone pointed upward.

"Look! It's Superman!" came the cry.

"Och. Dafties." Jaime frowned down at them.

He laughed. "I should hope to do half as good as to be mistaken for Superman. Any Superman," he added, with a glance at Josh.
