Patchverse: Night trips

Jubee giggled and Arnold explored her shoulder, nose twitching as he moved. Jubee herself had a large cardboard box of parts she'd found in a dump, playing with the tools she'd bought to try making things without her own hardware. The mess sat on newspapers and stretched over a good five-foot square area of her bedroom floor, beyond which the room was its usual pristine self.

So far she'd managed to make a small assortment of action heros, all standing almost a foot high and made out of various gadgets and parts, some with bent metal plating. She beamed and looked at Pikachu, who had his own small wire-made Arnold Jr. sitting on top of his head.

She looked up, sensing it was getting late. She smiled and wondered if Wolvie wanted her to go with him again to the basement bar they'd been visiting the past four nights.

"Y'don' wanna wait fer Murdock?" he teased her.

"He's comin', right?" she looked up at him questioningly.

He cocked an ear toward the sound of a stumble on the second floor of Matt and the McCoy's apartment, then chuckled as the young lawyer stifled a curse and tried to say something better instead. "Yup, he's comin'. Once 'is shirt stops fightin' back."

"That silly," she laughed, listening to the sounds and then turning her face into his shirt, still giggling.

"Alack!" Kurt's eyes widened at a thud, then squeezed shut against laughter.

"Maybe somebody should help him..." she said. "He might hurt himself, Wolvie."

"He'll be alright." Logan wiped laughter tears from his eyes, then sniggered as Matt cussed again.

"He's rather clumsy," she giggled.

"Ain't alla way awake yet." He continued chuckling as Matt reappeared with cool shirt on and with jacket in hand.

Kurt and K'tara looked around at him with matching expressions of fond concern as they got to their feet and came down the stairs.

"Sorry." He gave a slightly lopsided grin. "Someone did up all the buttons when they put my shirt away."

"Will you be ok to mosh later?" she asked, eyes big.

"Yeah.... I'll just grab a coffee, or some Bull." He grinned and rumbled down to join the rest of them on the landing.

Logan shuddered at mention of Red Bull as he lead the way through the door. "Dunno how y'kin drink that @#$%&$@."

She giggled. "Lots of caffine."

"I've smelled floor cleaner that smelled more drinkable." He growled and checked to make sure he had everybody as Kurt stopped to lock the door.
