Patchverse: Night trips

Jubee giggled and Arnold explored her shoulder, nose twitching as he moved. Jubee herself had a large cardboard box of parts she'd found in a dump, playing with the tools she'd bought to try making things without her own hardware. The mess sat on newspapers and stretched over a good five-foot square area of her bedroom floor, beyond which the room was its usual pristine self.

So far she'd managed to make a small assortment of action heros, all standing almost a foot high and made out of various gadgets and parts, some with bent metal plating. She beamed and looked at Pikachu, who had his own small wire-made Arnold Jr. sitting on top of his head.

She looked up, sensing it was getting late. She smiled and wondered if Wolvie wanted her to go with him again to the basement bar they'd been visiting the past four nights.

He quirked a grin, then returned to his notbeer, though he kept an eye on her.

"Ah, behold our glorious viands!" proclaimed Kurt as the waitress brought the food.

"What a dork." Matt smirked and rolled his eyes good-naturedly.

"Love you, Wolvie," she leaned up and kissed his cheek, then took a sip of her notreal juice.

He grinned, thinking to himself that he'd have to get the Richards kid to look at her and maybe make it so that she could eat with everybody else. Then he bowed his head as K'tara gave thanks, and turned his attention to his steak.

She smiled and turned her head, looking up at the stage. The excitement began to return, and she started to bounce eagerly in her seat.

Moments passed in conversation and eating, and then Gator came over and looked down at Jubilee quizzically.

Logan growled at him, not liking the pleasant family circle to be interrupted.

The big scaly man ignored him. "Hey, Jubilee."

"Hey Gator!" she beamed, looking up at him, flashing all her pearly whites. "How are you?"

"Pretty good." He grinned, showing a few gaps in his grin. "Howcome you're not eatin', chica?"

"I can't. I'm not real, just a robot," she said simply, shrugging and giggling. "It's too bad though, your stuff looks awesome. and I know Wolvie's really loving your pretend beer, even if he won't say so."

Gator chuckled as Logan growled, then nodded. "Knew you were a robot. Just didn't realize you couldn't eat."

A slight frown. "So... you can't have any soda, either, huh?"

"No. I tried once but it put me in the shop for almost a month. Daddy was worried he'd have to remake me, but then he figured out how to make we fix myself, so I woke up after all," she shrugged.
