Patchverse: Night trips

Jubee giggled and Arnold explored her shoulder, nose twitching as he moved. Jubee herself had a large cardboard box of parts she'd found in a dump, playing with the tools she'd bought to try making things without her own hardware. The mess sat on newspapers and stretched over a good five-foot square area of her bedroom floor, beyond which the room was its usual pristine self.

So far she'd managed to make a small assortment of action heros, all standing almost a foot high and made out of various gadgets and parts, some with bent metal plating. She beamed and looked at Pikachu, who had his own small wire-made Arnold Jr. sitting on top of his head.

She looked up, sensing it was getting late. She smiled and wondered if Wolvie wanted her to go with him again to the basement bar they'd been visiting the past four nights.

"Really? I've never felt one before," her eyes get huge and she took it and then gave him a hug. "Thanks, Gator!"

Logan facepalmed, then gave Gator a hairy eyeball that made the bigger man, and Kurt and Matt, laugh.

"Wolvie, look, it'll feel like a real mosh now!" she said, stammering excitedly as she rushed back. "Should I wait? Or do it now? What do you think, Wolvie?"

He blinked and looked at her, then glanced at Matt as the young lawyer chugged Red Bull and sighed. "Go hard, darlin'."

She giggled and activated the caffine rush, then stopped, eyes getting huge as she momentarilly froze up, the data rushing through her system madly.

"Jubilee?" he said urgently, sitting forward in concern.

"My stars and garters, Jubilee?" Kurt paused with his mug halfway to his mouth.

"Wolvie!" she gasped, pupils getting huge. "OhmygoshWolvieit'sso COOL!" she said, laughing and speaking almost too quickly to understand. "WOW!!!"

He blinked, then leaned back and picked up his steak knife again, a slight smirk on his face as Kurt and Matt stared at her.

"Ican'twaittomoshit'sgonnabe so much fuuun!" she said, looking around eagerly. "Ohthisfeels so cool, Wolvie, seriouslyImeanItotallygetitnow!"

"Sure, kid," he said contentedly, eating.

"Whennertheycoming?" Jubee bounced, eyes big as she looked again at the stage.

"Pretty soon." He scowled, though his eyes were bright with happiness.

"Oh cool," she giggled and "chugged" the rest of her drink.
