Patchverse: Night trips

Jubee giggled and Arnold explored her shoulder, nose twitching as he moved. Jubee herself had a large cardboard box of parts she'd found in a dump, playing with the tools she'd bought to try making things without her own hardware. The mess sat on newspapers and stretched over a good five-foot square area of her bedroom floor, beyond which the room was its usual pristine self.

So far she'd managed to make a small assortment of action heros, all standing almost a foot high and made out of various gadgets and parts, some with bent metal plating. She beamed and looked at Pikachu, who had his own small wire-made Arnold Jr. sitting on top of his head.

She looked up, sensing it was getting late. She smiled and wondered if Wolvie wanted her to go with him again to the basement bar they'd been visiting the past four nights.

"Jackasses," opined Logan.

"Call the kettle black." Kurt grinned.

Logan growled at him and took a swig of notbeer.

"Hey, he said it." Matt laughed. "Have you ever heard the phrase 'what you say is what you are?'"

"Yeah, at a kindergarten." Logan chewed steak and smirked.

"Kindergarten," Jubilee giggled. "You both'er silly."

"Ugh, no more Bull. I needa Monster." Matt looked around for the waitress.

"Monsters are bign'scarey," she hid her face in Patch's shirt. "But I canbeattemup."

"Noooo, I meant the energy drink." He gave a startled yelp as a mighty roar suddenly bellowed out of the speakers.

"They'restarting!" Jubilee squeed and lept up. "Great!!" She turned and bolted for the happily roaring crowd, plunging herself in at once.

"Whoa, wait for me!" Matt nearly wiped out and then laughed as K'tara grabbed him by the back of the collar and straightened him out.

Still laughing, he too vanished into the pit with K'tara at his heels.

Jubilee wiggled her way to the very front of the pit, then grabbed the edge of the stage, looking up in awe and excitement. "Roy!" she shouted, caught up in the excitement as she jumped up and down, giggling like mad.

The big catman looked down at her and did a double take, but then winked and tossed her a can of Red Bull before lifting a fist and starting the first song- still 'Dead man'.

She giggled, shook it up, then sprayed the crowd with it before squealing and throwing herself into the moshing crowd.

"This is AWESOME!" she laughed, then yelped as somebody grabbed her and threw her up to crowd surf.
