Patchverse: Night trips

Jubee giggled and Arnold explored her shoulder, nose twitching as he moved. Jubee herself had a large cardboard box of parts she'd found in a dump, playing with the tools she'd bought to try making things without her own hardware. The mess sat on newspapers and stretched over a good five-foot square area of her bedroom floor, beyond which the room was its usual pristine self.

So far she'd managed to make a small assortment of action heros, all standing almost a foot high and made out of various gadgets and parts, some with bent metal plating. She beamed and looked at Pikachu, who had his own small wire-made Arnold Jr. sitting on top of his head.

She looked up, sensing it was getting late. She smiled and wondered if Wolvie wanted her to go with him again to the basement bar they'd been visiting the past four nights.

She shrugged and hugged Patch again. "I don't mind," she grinned. "I missed Hell," she sighed, looking around at the place fondly.

"Yer real," insisted Logan. "Jes' as real as Shard 'n Vision. 'N they were real." Then he squinted one eye as the caffeine he'd imbibed made his head a little light.

Roy looked at him and sniffed, then chuckled. "Ben drinkin' Gator's new fake beer, huh?"

"Yeah...." Logan hugged Jubilee with one arm and rubbed his eyes with the other. The frog on his shoulder watched with seeming amusement.

"Let's go sit 'n visit." Roy led the way to a back corner of the stage and plunked down with his back to the wall.

Jubilee grinned and took Logan's hand, guiding him over and then sitting down by Roy, leaning against him happily.

Logan sighed, then quirked a grin of greeting as Neko-Lynn came to plop down in her husband's lap.

The catwoman smiled back, then looked at Jubilee. "You carry a tune when you're blasted better than our last Jubilee did."

"Thanks," Jubilee smiled. "The virus wore off a bit towards the end, I used up so much energy. You look real pretty tonight, Neko."

"Thank you." Her tail curved upward with pleasure at the compliment. Then she chuckled and swatted at Roy as he tried to nuzzle her, clearly pretty blasted himself.

Jubes leaned against Logan and nestled in. "We should have a pizza party sometime," she said absently, closing her eyes as the after effects of the buzz eft her feeling sleepy and warm.

"PIZZA!" cheered Roy, startling several people as his voice boomed out over his wife's microphone. "Oops."

"Oops." She laughed and turned it off, then unhooked it from head and set it on the floor for one of the tech people to take.
