Clone City, Valley of the Queens

"This... this is not funny."

With a voice devoid of accent Sal found herself suddenly not at home, returning to her living room after a bathroom break while watching reruns of Avatar: The Last Airbender. If the place had been a nexus or something she was more familiar with she would have been perfectly okay with the entire situation.

Except that this was not a room, not a nexus, and not a cafe. It was a cave. She wasn't a fan of caves. They were gross and earthy and just... well... gross. This cave wasn't drippy or anything, but she still didn't like it. She growled to herself and walked awhile until she found a large French door. Which was weird in and of itself. She wrenched it open and found her feet on green grass.

"Where the hell am I?" She looked around at the enormous valley spread out around her.

This is surreal...

She looked at Kurt and decided he was coming too.

"Alright, we're coming."

He'd already decided the same thing, and was rising to his feet to offer her his arm even as his other hand reached out in a just too late grab to try and catch Lou.

"Whoops." Vinnie watched his brother hit the floor. "Ouch."

Sal looked worried, but she couldn't bend over enough to help the clone.

"Think he'll be okay?" She looked at Vinnie.

"Yeah." The broken-nosed clone stooped to pick him up and deposit him back on the couch in passing. "He just took too many caffeine pills."

"I need to explain to Fi that using manpower instead of mech power doesn't include using your brothers to test things instead of using the computer models." Kal shook his head.

"Yeah, well, Lou went and had some caffeine drinks after that, too," said Vinnie, straightening his brother out and then dropping the pillow back on his face.

Sal watched, looking exceptionally confused.

"...Okay."

"What's wrong?" Kal frowned at her as he headed for the door.

She rested her hand on her stomach.

"Nothing," she said quickly.
