Saki sat. One hand was over her stomach, the other holding one of her books. The were scattered on the windowseat and floor around her. The sun beat on her gently, and she smiled, looking down at her belly and reaching again for the comfort her husband had impressed upon her about it. It had been extremely hard for her to adjust to the growing belly, and for her to maintain eatting healthy and giving into food cravings, Layka's harsh lessons on body and appearance nagging at her even as she firmly worked to take care of her babe.

She didnt think she would have made it without Jubal, and smiled again as she thought of him. She couldn't wait to hand him his first child.

"Oh, what about Puffball?" He ducked as Clarice and Apple dive bombed him and looked toward where the tribble sat.

"Yes," she said, quickly going and picking the tribble up before placing it on her shoulder and going back to her husband.

K'sk's farm, K'vk'tun

He held her close as the lights seemed to blur around them, and then they were standing in a grove of smallish trees with large, long fringed leaves that sighed in the fragrant breeze. It was pleasantly warm, and the tree song was soothing.

Jubal looked around with a grin. "Remember those big grubs I showed you the other day 'n asked if you wanted them for supper?"

"Yes," she said, remembering her initial qualms at the sight of such a large insect.

"They grow here." He let go of her to hunker down and point to a swelling in the earth at the base of a tree. "In the fruit of these trees."

"Ew," she couldn't help but exclaim.
