Warren's 'verse. Peace residence. Morning time.

Mornbein shut Lobo off, then hopped off the flying Harley and jogged into the house, dropping all the things she'd bought on the table in passing as she went to the master bedroom to check on her guys. What she saw inside made her grin.

Warren lay smack in the middle of the big king-sized bed, flat on his back, but with his mouth closed for once. One arm was around Sirius, who slept peacefully on his father's T-shirted chest.

Chuckling, she turned back and started ripping open packages and throwing stuff in piles on plates, feeling very proud of herself for fixing breakfast.

The sound made Sirius laugh, and he lifted his head unsteadily to grin at his ada, little hands closing on wads of Warren's shirt.

"I heard that," came Mornbein's muffled voice from the dining room.

He yawned stretching nearly forgetting about Sirius.

"Don't drop the kid this time, alright?"

"Kid?" he yawned sitting up

Sirius squeaked as he settled into a little crumpled heap in his lap.

"Whoops sorry kid"

He looked up at him and gave a little frown and a chin wibble; what he usually did instead of crying.

He grinned picking him up and rubbing his nose against Sirius'

And the baby boy was instantly laughing and grinning again, his tiny hands catching at Warren's hair as he tried to kiss him on the cheek.

"Whoa... that's a big cinnamon bun," said Mornbein from where she'd sat herself at the table and started breakfast without them.

Warren grinned lifting him higher to blow a raspberry on his belly before- "EWWW He needs Changing!"

Sirius looked surprised and lifted his eyebrows, then looked toward his mother's voice as she said,

"That was you, bonehead. Ya jus' farted."

"HE SMELLS NOT ME!" He defended

"Then it was a fart. He don't @#$%*&# 'is pants." Silence fell for a moment, then, "I'm gonna eatcher chocolate doughnuts fer that."

Sirius gave a hopeful little squeak. They'd been playing, right?

"Babies do" he said playfully turning him upside down.

"Human babies." She walked over to look through the door, donut in hand, then chuckled as Sirius squeaked excitedly and giggled.

"Oh" he said softly

She sat next to him and gave him a kiss. "Sirius is like me. He threw strong ta the elf, so even though it's gonna take 'im longer ta grow his brain's smarter than a human baby his age."

"Ppththth!" Sirius blew a raspberry and stopped in amazement. Oooooo, he did the cool!

"So I'm the stupid member of the family?"

"You ain't stupid." She kissed him again, then stuffed the donut in his mouth and snagged Sirius to bring him into the bathroom and change his cloths and such.

It was Warren's favorite kind of chocolate donut.

He laughed, which then lead to choking.

She shook her head as she gave Sirius a quick facecloth bath. "Ada's a bonehead sometimes."

Sirius just cooed.

"Love the concern" he grumbled

"Ya heal. 'N besides, I'm a lil' busy, baby." She quickly finished up with Sirius, then brought him back to the bedroom and stooped to kiss Warren. "There. All better?"

Sirius waved his arms and legs. Ada! Ada! Ada! Yay!

"C'mon 'n eat." She stuffed her wriggling son under one arm and tugged gently on Warren's hand with the other. "I got good stuff."
