Robin looked around the costume vault as she and Huntress appeared in it, then walked over to grab a set of sweats and toss them to the older woman before nodding to a change booth and striding into one herself.

The cat butted his rounded head against her leg, rumbling loudly as he asked for pets and loving.

Bruce chuckled. "T'bo."

Helena can't help it. A love of cats is practically in her genes. "Well now," she says, petting him, "aren't you just purrrfect?"

Now, bad puns, she got through osmosis.

T'bo put his front paws up on her leg and 'spoke' to her in a soft voice, his big eyes looking at her earnestly.

And Bruce watched thoughtfully, seeming to study the cat's actions. Jaycee watched the baby.

Helena continued with the petting. "Oh, you're just a sweetie, that's what you are. A big ol' softy."

"Only to Kyle 'n Bruce," said Jaycee soberly. "Guess that proves you're who you said you are."

"Heh. Yeah. Pretty wacky story, isn't it?"

"I've seen freakier." She looked toward the door. "Grab T'bo 'n c'mon. Somebody's gonna come looking for us."

"T'bo on t'older." Bruce patted his shoulder with the squeaky toy and nodded.

Helena gently picked up the cat and followed.

Jaycee chuckled as T'bo put his front paws up on Helena's shoulder and rested his chin against them, then grinned as they reached the end of the hall and there was a quizzical feline chirp. "Brace yourself."

"Kitty kitty kitty!" added Bruce, laughing.

"Okay..." Helena said, uncertain of what to expect.

There was a quizzical chirp, a thunder of paws, and at least six felines were weaving around Helena's legs or standing on hind legs to look up at her. Bruce giggled with delight.

"Whoa! It's a stampede!" Helena laughed.

Bruce wriggled and was let down to converse with his adoring subjects.

Jaycee just grinned. "Yeah. Wait'll the grouches smell you. Might even get old tubby there out of the sink."

"Jay, who are you...." A tall, broad-shouldered man stepped into the room, then stopped short and looked at Helena with surprise. He was almost a dead ringer for Bruce Wayne, though there were subtle differences that said he was only related closely to Helena's father.
