Robin looked around the costume vault as she and Huntress appeared in it, then walked over to grab a set of sweats and toss them to the older woman before nodding to a change booth and striding into one herself.

Helena changed with the efficiency of someone long practiced with getting in and out of her costume in a hurry.

"All right," she calls out, "what year is it here?"

"2007." Jaycee was raking her fingers through her hair as she came out of her booth and used the other hand to put the pieces of her suit in the right places.

"Not... too bad then. Only about thirty years in my future."

He mouthed her name, eyes rounding a little before he said, "Oh boy. Um, sorry. Hi."

Jaycee shook her head and poked Helena on the arm. "C'mon, lets go see what's goin' on up there."

"I'm coming, I'm coming. Hold your horses."

Jaycee made a face at mention of horses, but didn't say anything as she headed for the stairs that lead to the study.

"I'll be right up!" Tim called after her, then gave Helena an apologetic grin as he turned back to the computer.

The cat butted his rounded head against her leg, rumbling loudly as he asked for pets and loving.

Bruce chuckled. "T'bo."

Helena can't help it. A love of cats is practically in her genes. "Well now," she says, petting him, "aren't you just purrrfect?"

Now, bad puns, she got through osmosis.

T'bo put his front paws up on her leg and 'spoke' to her in a soft voice, his big eyes looking at her earnestly.

And Bruce watched thoughtfully, seeming to study the cat's actions. Jaycee watched the baby.

"I'm Thomas." He offered her a good-natured and welcoming, though puzzled grin. "Jaycee and Bruce's uncle."

Hadn't one of the Brendas mentioned a brother? Keeping track of all these different worlds was giving her a headache.

She smiles and nods. "I'm the daughter of my world's Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle. Guess that makes you my uncle too."

He blinked, then held out a hand to her as he looked at Jaycee. "That nexus?"

"Mmmhmm." She watched another cat come into the room and walk over to sniff Helena's leg before rubbing his cheek on her.

"Why don't we go to the dining room?" he suggested, glancing at Jaycee, who was wearing an expression of colossal boredom that was very feigned.

He frowned and settled into his own seat. "What do you mean?"

"I've been... traveling a lot, lately. Different realities, different bat-people. Not to mention the Nexus itself. Most of the versions of Dad I've met have a stick up their rear end."

"Me." The redhead exchanged a glance with Rae.

Brent Gordon. The young man that Helena's 'Aunt' Brenda still mourned.

Her blue eyes went thoughtful. "I could do law."

"Well... what do you want to know? I mean, I could talk about my Earth and it's Bats, or some of the other ones I've met..."

"Karl's settled down now, too. He just got married a couple of months ago."

She nods. "Kathy got married a while ago too. Even has kids."

The boy ducked his head and murmured politely, then brightened slightly as Alfred brought in the meal.
