Thomas started to reply, but then looked around as Bruce's shouts heralded the appearance of that little boy and the older child that Helena had seen earlier, a thin little guy with only one arm and a slightly lopsided gait. Jaycee brought up the rear and lifted Bruce into his highchair, where he patted the table and crowed.
